Dandy Oil Products Ltd., located in Edmonton, and incorporated in the province of Alberta, is a licensed Petro-Canada/Suncor Marketer, distributing fuel and lubricants in the Edmonton area since 1999.

The primary day-to-day responsibility of the dispatcher and sales order desk is to communicate and receive orders from customers and ensure timely and efficient delivery of bulk and packaged products.

Inside Customer Sales and Service Representative

  • Fielding customer orders in a professional, pleasant and courteous manner and referring new sales opportunities
  • Liaise with appropriate Petro-Canada personnel to set-up accounts and handle all customer delivery issues
  • Up-selling products

Dispatch

  • Efficiently coordinate and communicate daily fuel deliveries
  • Dispatch and organize daily deliveries, manually and automated in accordance with applicable legislation and regulation
  • Receive and coordinate site orders and deliveries
  • Enter orders electronically and ensure that all orders are completed by end of day
  • Print and distribute delivery invoices as required and update delivery spreadsheet
  • Ensure drivers have all necessary information and equipment to complete deliveries
  • Communicate with drivers continuously throughout day
  • Respond to driver calls; including after hour and/or emergency calls (ability to be on call for duration of shift)
  • Attend and participate in monthly dispatch and operation meetings
  • Coordinate driver schedules and assist with day to day operational needs

Delivery Analysis and Inventory Control

  • Update customer delivery information in system – address, direction, tank size, etc.
  • Monitoring tank gauging inventory monitors and coordinating deliveries to ensure no run-outs
  • Work with sites to ensure proper fuel levels are inventoried, ordered and maintained

Administration

  • Ensure  driver truck reports are received and processed daily
  • Training drivers on proper paperwork completion, ongoing, as required
  • Ensure driver hours entered accurately for payroll purposes

Position Requirements:

  • Dispatch experience required; fuel dispatching experience a definite asset
  • Outstanding communication skills and professionalism at all times
  • Ability to multi-task, quick learner
  • Knowledge of Edmonton and surrounding areas
  • Ability to read and interpret maps
  • Team oriented, positive can-do attitude
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Flexible and able to be on-call for duration of shift
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and make appropriate recommendations
  • Organized with time management skills
  • High attention to detail
